100% of online donations go toward the purchase of food. In Tehama County, an estimated 27% of children under age 18 live in households with limited or uncertain access to adequate food.  Since 2009, annual fund drives have been conducted raising over $50,000 to support local emergency food and meal providers. Funds which are collected each year, are divided equally among the fourteen  participating programs with deposits being made with NuWay Market, Grocery Outlet or the Feeding America Food Bank for use as needed during the year. During the past year these local nonprofit and faith-based programs have provided approximately 1,200 meals and 4,000 food boxes per month. Each year approximately 200 local businesses, service clubs and individuals have supported this fund drive supporting programs throughout Tehama County. To further assist with emergency food and meal services, local programs benefit from frequent food donations from Tehama County grocery outlets, many of which are coordinated through the Feeding America program.

Welcome

Together we can accomplish great things, by holding

hands we create miracles.  Will you take my hand to

walk into a future where no child goes to bed hungry?

Food pictured above is equal to a four day emergency supply of food for

a family of four.

When asked to give this community’s generosity is legendary. Over the years I have asked for you to join with me in collecting food for those less fortunate than ourselves.  Your heartfelt response produced truckloads of food going to various food banks. For over five years in Red Bluff, the Food From the Heart food drive has raised several thousand pounds of food each year to support local hunger relief charities.  The need is so great that this year we are taking Food From the Heart countywide.  Over 6,200 children, ill and needy are served via Tehama County Food Bank Partners each month. The Gold Exchange has partnered with the Community Action Agency, Tehama Together, the North State Food Bank and eighteen food banks within Tehama County. By leveraging resources and working together local charities are able to turn a simple $18.00 donation into 100lbs. of nutritious food, including fresh produce.  For this reason, Food From the Heart has become a FUND drive to be held May 1 - May 20 2017. Last year, young people from our community collected coffee cans to be used as donation containers. Thank you S.E.R.R.F., Mercy High, West Street Elementary Parents Group and especially Sacred Heart for the blessing of the cans.  Over 200 businesses stepped up to serve as collection locations.  We are asking you to join the efforts of our young people and local businesses by making a heartfelt donation towards this very worthwhile endeavor.  100% of all donations collected will go towards the purchase of food and are tax deductible.
Your contribution is tax deductible by making your check payable to: Tehama Together / Food Drive (FID #27-2177467)
The Red Bluff Vineyard Christian Fellowship has been feeding the hungry in Tehama County in partnership with The Lord's Table every weekday for over 20 years.  Thanks to the community support we received through FFTH and the North State Food Bank, we have been able to continue this ministry uninterrupted, serving quality, nutritious meals.  Thank you!  - Linda Sigler , Administrative Assistant, Vineyard Christian Fellowship
